STOTT PILATES® mat and equipment, fascia training and MELT Method®, barre training and Yoga for all ages and all levels.
Specifically tailored and usually a mixture of Pilates, fascia training and MELT Method®, depending on your wishes/goals. Good basis/supplement for other activities/(athletic) sports.
We are the official host training center for Merrithew in Switzerland! The STOTT PILATES teacher training on the mat and/or on the Pilates equipment is recognized worldwide.
The goal of this modern training method is the optimal function of the neuromuscular system. To achieve this we work on core stability and efficient and correct muscle activation. We make sure that muscle strength and flexibility are balanced. The latest findings and theories of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation are incorporated into the training. Biomechanical principles relating to core stability, breathing and alignment are applied to all exercises, whether on the mat or on the specific Pilates equipment. Everyone benefits, from beginners or rehab patients to athletes.
This type of training improves flexibility and elasticity, stability, balance, body awareness and movement efficiency. This is achieved through bouncy movements, expansion for good force transmission in the body, the stimulation of different nerve endings in the fascial tissues through tools with different surfaces (such as nubs, hard and soft tools, vibration, etc.) and hydration/compression with rollers but also specific movements (push pull, waves, pandiculation, gait patterns, swinging and swaying, etc.). The workout works both on the mat and the Pilates equipment with its spring pulls. The workout can be calm, but also very active and sweaty. Everyone benefits, from beginners or rehabilitation patients to athletes.
Like Pilates, this method is about the optimal function of the neuromuscular system. It focuses mainly on the hydration of the connective tissue/fascia and on balancing the nervous system. In this way, movement becomes more efficient and performance increase is achieved. MELT is a self-care method, not a training. You learn the method in the studio and apply it regularly at home. With a little discipline you can prevent injuries and signs of wear and tear and improve joint stability. (Chronic) pain is alleviated and even healed. By working on the nervous system, MELT has a calming effect and promotes healthy sleep. Everyone benefits, from beginners or rehabilitation patients to athletes. For the method you need a MELT Roller and/or the MELT Hand and Foot Kit. Both can be purchased in the studio.
Total Barre is a sweaty fitness program with the ballet barre that builds strength, flexibility and dynamic stability. The training is based on the Pilates principles and is suitable for anyone who enjoys small choreographies to music. Not only choreography is taught but also the correct execution of the exercises and the correct biomechanics.
Dynamic and powerful yoga, which promotes balance, core strength, flexibility and concentration and thereby helps to unwind. Vinyasa Flow Yoga combines body and mind, movement and breath, Far Eastern wisdom and Western knowledge. The focus is on the mindful practice of postures (asanas). The creative and meditative classes are suitable for all ages and levels and are a great complement to Pilates.
The basics of yoga are taught and deepened. The focus is on precise alignment and attention to detail to feel confident in all poses (asanas). A systematic structure of the class enables a gradual improvement in strength, flexibility and endurance. The integration of various breathing techniques (pranayama) helps to calm the mind and increase physical and mental awareness. Improved alignment, posture and balance, increased well-being and vitality, mental clarity and concentration are promoted. The exercises are individually adapted and are therefore suitable for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level or previous experience.
Live training and ondemand videos as a perfect option for at home! The training on the mat is broadcast live via ZOOM. In addition, ondemand videos can be rented for 4 weeks. There are always 4 videos to choose from and new videos are added regularly. There is something for everyone, from beginners to advanced. You will need a mat, a flexband (can be purcheased in the studio), and/or a long microfibre towel.
In this 1:1 format, we specifically address the wishes and goals of our clients. A mixture of different training techniques such as Pilates, fascia training and MELT Method® is usually used. The focus is on improving body awareness, movement efficiency, core stability, strength, flexibility, resilience and joint stability and reducing compensation patterns. This makes the training the ideal basis/supplement for other activities/(athletic) sports to relieve excessive tension and prevent joint damage. After injuries, we help to activate the right muscles and minimize compensation.
