The goal of the modern STOTT PILATES® method is to optimize the function of the neuromuscular system. To achieve this, training focuses on core stability, efficient movement and correct muscle activation while maintaining a balance between strength and flexibility. The method incorporates the latest findings in exercise science, movement science and spinal rehabilitation. The STOTT PILATES® principles provide the foundation for every exercise, integrating biomechanics, recognized movement patterns, movement qualities and the fascial system. STOTT PILATES® can be adapted to a wide range of individual needs – from beginners and rehabilitation clients to athletes seeking to improve performance and movement efficiency.
This type of training improves flexibility, elasticity, stability, balance, body awareness and movement efficiency. This is achieved through elastic and dynamic movements, exercises that support efficient force transmission throughout the body, and the stimulation of the fascial system through different sensory inputs, such as tools with various surfaces, vibration and compression techniques. The training incorporates fascial hydration and release techniques using rollers, as well as specific movement patterns such as push and pull, waves, pandiculation, gait patterns, swinging and swaying. The workout takes place on the Mat, Reformer and other Pilates Equipment. It can be calm and mindful or dynamic and physically challenging. Everyone can benefit – from beginners and people in rehabilitation to athletes seeking to improve movement quality and performance.
Like Pilates, the MELT Method focuses on optimizing the function of the neuromuscular system. It places particular emphasis on supporting hydration of the connective tissue and fascia, as well as balancing the nervous system. This helps promote more efficient movement patterns and improved physical performance. MELT is a self-care method rather than a traditional workout. The method is learned in the studio and then applied regularly at home. With consistent practice, MELT can help prevent injuries and signs of overuse, improve joint stability, and reduce discomfort. By working with the nervous system, MELT also has a calming effect and can support healthy sleep. Everyone can benefit – from beginners and rehabilitation clients to athletes. The method requires a MELT Roller and/or the MELT Hand & Foot Kit, both of which are available for purchase at the studio.
Barre Training is a dynamic workout using the ballet barre that builds strength, flexibility and dynamic stability. Based on Pilates principles, the training combines functional exercises with small choreographies performed to music. In addition to learning the choreography, participants focus on the correct execution of each exercise, efficient movement patterns and proper biomechanics. Barre Training is suitable for everyone who enjoys a challenging and motivating workout with a focus on movement quality.
Dynamic and powerful Yoga that promotes balance, core strength, flexibility and concentration while helping to unwind. Vinyasa Flow Yoga connects body and mind, movement and breath, combining traditional yoga wisdom with modern knowledge. The focus is on the mindful practice of postures (asanas). The creative and meditative classes are suitable for all ages and levels and provide a great complement to Pilates.
Live training and on-demand videos are a perfect option for practising at home. The Matwork classes are streamed live via ZOOM. In addition, on-demand videos can be rented for four weeks. Four different workouts are always available to choose from, and new videos are added regularly. The sessions are suitable for everyone – from beginners to advanced participants. You will need a mat, a Flex-Band (available for purchase at the studio) and/or a long microfiber towel.
